چکیده
BACKGROUND: The interaction between the pro- and anti-inflammatory cytokines is known to play key roles in immune response infectious diseases. pathogenesis of malaria parasitemia, including its progression symptomatic manifestation, also seems be strongly related this interplay. AIM: study evaluated plasma levels interferon-gamma (IFN-γ) interleukin-6 (IL)-6, which are inflammatory cytokines, transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β), an cytokine; 6–60 months age-group children, when infected with Plasmodium falciparum, show their relevance development immunity against malaria. METHODS: was a cross-sectional involving children uncomplicated parasitemia. In study, parasitemia confirmed by microscopy, using Giemsa stain. enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method used evaluate IFN-γ, IL-6, TGF-β under-five P. counterparts who were not parasite. RESULTS: median participants 225.15 pg/ mL, 123.31 pg/mL, 2091.02 respectively. difference uninfected statistically significant p < 0.001. CONCLUSION: findings work showed that associated depression level compared counterparts.

Plasma levels of Transforming Growth Factor Beta in HIV-1 patients with oral candidiasis
Background and Purpose: TGF-β is a potent regulator and suppressor of the immune system and overproduction of this cytokine may contribute to immunosuppression in HIV-infected patients. Increasing population of immunosuppressed patients has resulted in increasingly frequent of fungal infections, including oral candidiasis. The aim of this study was to evaluate the plasma levels of TGF-&bet...
متن کاملEffects of Different Concentrations of Opium on the Secretion of Interleukin-6, Interferon-γ and Transforming Growth Factor Beta Cytokines from Jurkat Cells
Background: The risk of infectious, autoimmune and immunodeficiency diseases and cancers rise in opioid addicts due to changes in innate and acquired immune responses. Three types of opioid receptors (К،δ،μ) are expressed on the surface of lymphocytes and mononuclear phagocytes. The present study was designed to examine the effects of different concentrations of opium on the secretion of some c...

Background Congenital heart disease (CHD) is the most common cause of major congenital birth defect. The aim of this study was to investigate the association of CHD with serum levels of Tumor necrosis factor-α (TNFα), Interleukin 6 (IL-6), and B-type Natriuretic Peptide (BNP) in infant and children. Materials and Methods The present study was conducted in Heshmat heart hospital and 17 Shahrivar...
